Mō te tūranga | About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Manager Supplier Centre of Excellence, in your new role of Supplier Management Capability Lead (Relationship Manager), you will provide leadership, direction and expertise in developing strong Supplier Management Capabilities across WNZL.
The purpose of your role is to design and deliver customised learning, advisory and enablement services to support our Supplier Management stakeholders, resulting in measurable capability uplift across a range of specialised capability domains. You will use your specialised knowledge and skills in a constructive and collaborative way to develop, drive and improve Supplier Management capabilities across business areas.
As one of the primary leads supporting Supplier Management stakeholders, you will be relied upon for your expertise, responsiveness and excellent communication skills.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and drive the uplift of Supplier Management capabilities, with a specific focus on Performance Management, Relationship Management and Risk Management
- Develop, deploy, and maintain Supplier Management Capability frameworks and practices, driving awareness, adoption and effective delivery of change across stakeholder groups.
- Provide specialised training, advisory and support relating to Performance Management, Relationship Management and Risk Management
- Manage the operational and contractual relationships for a portfolio of Procurement-owned suppliers, actively manage these suppliers and keep active oversight of overall supplier governance, health and service delivery
- Lead the planning for budgeting, future requirements and drive value from supplier relationships

- Experience relating to Performance Management, Relationship Management and Risk Management within a Supplier Management or Procurement context
- Proven experience in Supplier Management (or a related role) with a sufficient level of expertise across Supplier Management capability domains and Supplier Governance
- Experience of developing learning programmes and content with a proven track record of lifting capability and influencing desired outcomes, will be highly valued.
- Proven contributions to change, improvement or transformation programmes
- Proficiency with learning / training methodologies tools and software would be advantageous
- Demonstrate strong financial and commercial acumen
- Legal experience/knowledge is advantageous
