Hey, Roscoe here — the founder of Roady. We’re on the lookout for a Content Specialist to help us on our mission to build the world’s most loved travel app.
Since launching in mid-2022, the Roady App has facilitated over 270,000 adventures across New Zealand and has become NZ’s go-to app for discovering epic things to do. Now, we’re expanding into Australia to replicate the same model across the ditch.
Our social media community is at the heart of what we do, and we’re looking for someone who can help us grow it even further, create viral travel content, and drive app downloads.
💡 The Role
This is not your typical desk job—you’ll be travelling all over NZ regularly, discovering and capturing amazing experiences, featuring in content, and bringing Roady’s adventures to life.
You’ll be working alongside our team of content creators to grow Roady’s social channels, produce engaging travel content, and help drive downloads of the Roady App.

✨ Key Responsibilities:
✅ Social Media Growth – Drive the growth of Roady’s Instagram and TikTok through high-quality, engaging content.
✅ App Growth – Leverage social media to drive app downloads and user engagement.
✅ Content Creation – Plan, shoot, and edit short-form travel videos. Shooting on an iPhone is totally fine—we’ve got the pro cameras and drones covered in-house. (If you have camera or drone skills, let us know—it’s a bonus!)
✅ Brand Partnerships – Work with Roady’s partners to roll out promotional campaigns.
✅ App Content Management – Add new must-do experiences to the Roady App, writing content in our brand’s tone of voice.
✅ Community Engagement – Moderate new app listing requests from travellers and businesses.
✅ Email & Blog Writing – Occasionally craft engaging emails and blog posts to support marketing efforts.
🔥 Our Ideal Candidate:
🎥 Video creation & editing – Can create and edit short-form videos for Instagram and TikTok.
📱 iPhone filming skills – Comfortable shooting video content on an iPhone.
📈 Social media growth – Has experience growing a social media account (business or personal brand).
🌏 Love for travel – Keen to explore NZ regularly as part of their job (this could be 5-10 days per month on the road shooting content).
🎬 Confidence on camera – Comfortable featuring in content and bringing personality to videos.
📊 Data-driven mindset – Comfortable analyzing content performance and testing strategies to boost views & app downloads.
🎙️ Strong storytelling & writing skills – Can bring experiences to life through compelling narratives.
🧠 Coachable & adaptable – Open to feedback and willing to learn.
📍 Wellington-based or remote – Ideally based in Wellington or willing to move (remote applications considered).

At Roady, we’re a small but mighty team of 6, with half of us working from our Wellington office in the Startup Hub—a shared space with 8 other ambitious startups looking to scale internationally.
We operate a hybrid model – 3 days in the office, 2 days from home. It’s a vibrant and collaborative environment that’s perfect for anyone looking to grow and be part of something exciting.
While Wellington-based applicants are preferred, we will consider remote applications.
