About the Role

We are looking for three experienced Class 5 Drivers based in Palmerston North to join our team in two different Class 5 roles:

A Class 5 Metro Truck Driver

• Driving Sunday to Thursday
• 3:00pm - 3:00am
• Must have an OSH Forklift Licence

A Class 5 Metro Truck Driver

• Monday to Friday with rostered Saturdays
• 7:00am start
• Must have an OSH Forklift Licence

A Class 5 Linehaul Truck Driver

• Tuesday to Friday nights - Wellington return - starting at 10:00pm
• Saturday night - New Plymouth return - starting at 5:00pm

You will have at least 6 months' experience driving Class 5 trucks. Ideally you will have experience and an understanding of working with chilled and frozen goods and food safety compliance. You will also have excellent communication and customer service skills, as you'll be the face of Big Chill out on the roads.

Key responsibilities include

• Delivery and pick up of chilled and frozen products across the region or North Island
• Providing assistance to the Stores team to present product for loading/unloading
• Collaborating with dispatchers to ensure timely deliveries
• Compliance in delivery times and temperature control of customer goods

About You

• Based in the Palmerston North area
• Qualified Class 5 driver with at least 6 months' experience
• Geographical knowledge of New Zealand's towns and cities
• Experience working in refrigerated environments is a plus
• Demonstrable organisational and time management abilities
• Committed to delivering exceptional customer service at all times
