- The Delivery Practice oversees all ASB's strategic invest work. For example, we own the funding, prioritisation, planning, delivery methodology, tooling etc for how we do strategic change at ASB.
The team is made up of 400+ people covering roles such as Project Managers, Business Analysts, Organisational Change Managers, Ways of Working Coaches, Delivery Leads, Portfolio Managers etc, who work on initiatives across ASB.
Mo te tūranga | About the role:
The Delivery Practice is made up of 3 Domains which are: Execution Uplift, Portfolio, and Delivery support to all Technology and Business units.
This Chapter Lead reports into the Technology Delivery Domain Lead to support the Domain Practice Leadership Team, Senior Business and Platform Leads to drive strategic workforce planning and ensure chapter members collectively deliver excellence at ASB.
The Chapter Lead will manage a team of Delivery Leads, Project Managers, Business Analysts and Change Managers. The Chapter Lead will have a foot in both people and project delivery camps, meaning you will also spend time supporting programmes or project delivery activities and championing the ASB Delivery Framework ways of workings.
The Chapter Lead should be passionate about leadership, hands-on mentoring, knowledge transfer, training, implementing tools and guardrails, and staying close to the members of the Chapter to drive open communication.
Outcomes responsible for:
- Strategic alignment - ensuring my Chapter is focused on the right value (laddered to scorecard), including alignment with the Domain strategic roadmap with multi-year timeline
- Delivery outcomes - Enabling successful outcomes within agreed constraints (Eg time, cost, risk etc)
- Ways of working - building and improving delivery processes, including better, sooner, safer
- Supporting alignment with other Chapters across your Domain and the organization
- Financial management- meeting agreed targets related Delivery budgets/ resourcing
- Risk, control and values - championing and overseeing management of risk and values within Chapter
- Resourcing - working with Domain Lead and other chapter Leads on resourcing
- All Delivery Practice outcomes in collective responsibility with rest of Delivery Practice

- Strength in leading and facilitating business and strategic planning processes
- Talent for building effective relationships and high performing teams in a matrix environment
- Comfort working with high ambiguity, complexity and competing priorities
