Technician looking for a change? Make the move to New Zealand's biggest Ford and Mazda specialists, South Auckland Motors.

Due to expansion we require an Automotive Technician to join the Service team at our Pukekohe branch.

To be considered you will need a relevant level 4 qualification or at least 3 years' industry experience. A current AVIC / WOF certificate is preferable but not a must.

• $30 - $37 per hour depending on skills and experience
• Full time permanent employment, minimum 40 hours per week

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Maintain a full complement of hand tools to enable repairs to be carried out in the appropriate manner
• Undertake all routine service and repair work through the prompt and accurate diagnosis or vehicle faults in engines and parts (mechanical and electrical) and service needs while achieving a 'fit it right the first time' policy
• Deliver the required level of customer satisfaction to achieve our customer retention standards
• Service work may include oil changes, lubrications, engine tuning (as examples) to ensure smooth function and compliance
• Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other vehicle components, as required, for checking
• Completely and accurately fill out job sheets, making sure all parts, outwork, expendables, toll calls, phone calls, etc are recorded
• Work bays shall be cleaned on completion of a job
• Repair or replace worn or defective parts
• Willingly undertake all training required by the company and attend training courses and keep up to date with relevant information
• Ensure the issuing of all certifications is done in accordance with the relevant regulations / standards
