About the Role
As an Duty Manager at Haka House Auckland, you'll be a key member of our team, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the hostel during your shift. You'll play a vital role in creating a positive and memorable experience for our guests, upholding our high standards of hospitality and contributing to the unique Haka House atmosphere. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your management skills in a dynamic and rewarding environment.
The Role Will Involve
- Managing the daily operations of the hostel during your assigned shift, including check-in/check-out procedures, guest inquiries, and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Supervising and supporting the hostel team, ensuring excellent customer service and a positive work environment.
- Maintaining the cleanliness, security, and overall presentation of the hostel. 🧹
- Handling cash transactions and balancing the till accurately. 💰
- Enforcing hostel policies and procedures to ensure guest safety and compliance.
- Proactively identifying and addressing potential problems to maintain a smooth running operation.
- Contributing to a positive and welcoming atmosphere for both guests and staff. 🤗
- Participating in regular team meetings and contributing to ongoing improvements within the hostel.
