Job Description

Kinetic have partnered with a leading provider of high-quality equipment, tools, and services to the industrial and commercial sectors. Known for their commitment to excellence, they pride themselves on offering tailored solutions that meet the diverse needs of our customers. They are now seeking a Territory Manager to manage part of their South Island function, the successful individual will bring a consultative approach to building relationships and driving business growth.

The Role:

As the Territory Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing a designated territory across the South Island by offering a consultative sales apporach and delivering solutions that meet the specific needs of their clients. You will play a crucial role in building lasting relationships, understanding customer challenges, and offering the right products and services to meet their needs. This position requires someone who is customer-focused, proactive, and skilled at navigating complex sales scenarios.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients in your territory, including industrial and commercial sectors.
  • Take the time to understand your clients' needs and offer tailored solutions to address their challenges.
  • Provide expert advice on our products and services.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, leveraging your knowledge of the industry to uncover customer needs.
  • Be the go-to expert for product knowledge, delivering insightful presentations and demonstrations to clients.
  • Drive revenue growth within the territory by increasing sales volume, ensuring client satisfaction, and achieving targets.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to proactively adjust sales strategies.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including marketing and customer service, to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in sales, ideally in a territory or field-based role within the industrial, commercial, or technical sector.
  • A consultative sales approach with the ability to build rapport, understand customer needs, and offer the right solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to engage and influence at all levels.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and proactive in managing a territory and driving sales results.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and providing value to clients.
  • Full New Zealand driver’s license is essential. as travel is essential for this position.
