Key Responsibilities:

As the General Manager FP&A, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our client's Commodity Trading business. Your strategic leadership will guide the development of long-term plans that align with organisational objectives. You will oversee business performance management, ensuring commitments are monitored and strategic goals are achieved. Your expertise in governance, risk, and compliance will uphold the highest standards of financial integrity. With your guidance, the FP&A team will deliver exceptional financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and process improvements. Your ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders will foster collaboration across functions and regions. Furthermore, your commitment to sustainability will drive initiatives that align financial planning with environmental goals.

  • Contribute to overall strategy as an active member of the Finance Leadership Team.
  • Lead business performance management including annual operating plans, monthly forecasts, and performance reviews.
  • Ensure robust financial governance frameworks in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Deliver world-class financial and management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and process improvements.
  • Inspire and lead a high-performing FP&A team by fostering an engaging work environment.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Drive initiatives that align financial planning with sustainability goals.
  • Engage in Systems projects to ensure organisational requirements are met.


Key Requirements:

As the General Manager FP&A, you bring a wealth of experience to this strategic leadership role. Your academic qualifications in finance or a related field are complemented by your CPA/CA or equivalent professional certification. With over 15 years of senior finance experience under your belt, you have honed your skills in financial planning and analysis. Your background in commodities, dairy or FMCG industries gives you a deep understanding of market dynamics and operational complexities. Your proven success in leading matrixed organisations and developing high-performing teams speaks to your leadership excellence. Your analytical rigour enables you to make sound, well-reasoned decisions based on complex data.

  • Tertiary qualification in finance, accounting or a related field.
  • CPA/CA or equivalent professional certification.
  • Minimum of 15 years of senior finance experience including financial planning and analysis.
  • Experience in commodities, dairy or FMCG industries.
  • Proven success in leading matrixed organisations and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong capability in analysing complex data and making sound decisions.
