Mō te tūranga | About the Role
Reporting to the Chief Digital Officer, this role helps ensure Digital is a high performing distribution channel for Westpac New Zealand, delivering strong customer and commercial outcomes.
It is accountable for providing a centralised view of Digital’s overall operational and performance outcomes, driving improved data analysis and insight for the digital leadership and helping to build a culture of ongoing improvement.
Working with the Digital LT, this role helps create, manage and communicate Digital’s strategy and tracks performance against that strategy.
Key responsibilities of the role:
- Responsible for helping to create, manage and communicate Digital’s strategy.
- Ownership of the creation and delivery of Board packs, ET and other senior level update papers, and relevant business updates for Digital to key business forums such as lines of business and value chain meetings.
- Accountable for facilitating Digital’s end to end governance processes, business planning and operational cadences and looking for ongoing opportunities to improve these.
- Accountable for the creation and management of Digital’s operational business performance processes, reporting and dashboards.
- Responsible for the generation of digital-wide insights to drive strategic decision-making.
- Responsible for the creation of communications for distribution to the Digital direct report and wider Digital matrix team providing regular updates on performance and digital matters.

- Strong leadership credentials with experience managing stakeholders in a matrix-based organisation.
