Job Description We have an exciting opportunity for someone with excellent attention to detail that is looking to take their skills to the next level by operating various metal processing machines including the hydraulic and pneumatic punch machines.
As our Machine Operator, you will be responsible for:
Day to day operation of our ALURO thermal break machine – picking, checking, knurling, zipping and packing thermally broken products onto skips.
QA checking, stoking and packing of finished products.
Understanding and monitoring production tolerances
Monitoring any machine faults and dealing with these accordingly
Maintaining set KPI’s and crafting high quality products
Entry level applicants will be considered for this position, with ongoing training and development, giving you the opportunity to build a long-standing career with APL. Working in a close-knit team, you will be focused and competent.
We are searching for someone who has:
Previous machine operation experience - whether great or small!
Great attention to detail
Impeccable organisational skills
Self-motivated with a high level of ownership and accountability
Adaptable and flexible
Experience in aluminium fabrication desirable
Engineering background and experience desirable but not necessary
This role is with our afternoon shift which operates from 3.00pm to 11.30pm
The successful candidate will get to work with a team who proudly manufacture in NZ and provide an end-to-end service for our customers in the building industry.
