Centre Cook / House Keeper

Job Description

Are you a good allrounder? Are you flexible and adaptable? Do you possess excellent skills in the kitchen, superb cleaning ability and have a fastidious eye for detail? Do you have a passion to work with children?

We are on the lookout for a dedicated and reliable centre cook / housekeeper to join our team at Busy Bees Pioneer Highway. You will be primarily responsible for providing assistance in the kitchen and ensuring the kitchen and appliances are clean, stocked and tidy. With laundry and various other miscellaneous tasks required. You will also be required to relieve on the floor when needed so you need to be passionate about nurturing and caring for our tamariki.

This is a permanent part-time role from Monday to Friday, 20 hours a week.

Our tamariki and whānau feel a sense of belonging at Busy Bees Pioneer Highway. We offer nutritious, homecooked meals, and a huge backyard play area for our tamariki. Our teachers live locally, which supports our strong sense of community and welcoming environment. Our kaiako actively support nga tamariki in developing a strong sense of place, where all children feel comfortable exploring, playing, and learning in our conveniently located centre.

  • Proactive with the ability to think on your feet
  • Demonstrate good initiative
  • Previous cleaning experience would be preferable
  • Enthusiastic with a ‘can do’ attitude
