Join our dedicated team at one of our senior living sites CHT Onewa in Brikenhead as a Catering Assistant. In this role, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality catering services to our residents, ensuring their dining experience is enjoyable and meets their dietary needs. This is a Permanent Part Time Position. Hours of work are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday from 2 pm to 7 pm.
Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:
Assist with preparing and presenting food, including portioning and plating.
Provide warm, friendly, and professional customer service to all residents.
Maintain clean and tidy dining and kitchen areas, including cleaning tables, floors, and equipment.
Be familiar with dietary restrictions and special diets to ensure optimal resident food preferences are met.
Communicate effectively with team members and residents to ensure a high level of service.
He kōrero mōu / About you:
Experience in a similar role with good communication skills.
Flexible approach and attitude, being a good team player.
Physically fit and reliable.
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
Previous experience in a catering environment and NZQA Food Handling Certificate (Units 167 & 168) are desirable.
