We are looking for a reliable, friendly and fit van driver with excellent customer service skills to collect children from their homes and safely transport them to and from our centre.

About us:

We provide a beautiful, large and natural outdoor setting that encourages curiosity and discovery. Our kaiako have close connections with all the tamariki, whānau, and the local community. Every day, we help children develop strong social skills and a sense of responsibility.

Our preschool offers opportunities throughout the day for tamariki to be involved in contributing to the curriculum helping to make decisions about what is set up and sharing their ideas. Kaiako work alongside the children to set up an environment which is challenging, provides curiosity and active exploration.

About the role:

You will also be responsible for collecting children from their homes around the area and safely transporting them to our centre each morning and return home in the afternoon. There may also be additional requirements to participate in centre excursions through the middle of the day.

The role also includes supporting our teachers on floor at our centre with supervising our little ones, carrying out care routines and engaging them in activities.

This is a permanent full-time position from Monday to Friday.

What are we looking for?

Applicants must have a full clean drivers’ licence, held for a minimum of 2 years, and ideally with a P endorsement, however this is not critical as an application will be made for the appointed person. We are looking for someone with a genuine passion for children who is nurturing, friendly and approachable! Previous ECE experience would be advantageous. Holding a current first aid certificate would be preferred.
