Mō te tūranga | About the Role Are you passionate about technology and looking to make a significant impact in an infrastructure environment? Westpac NZ is seeking a dedicated Technology Release Analyst to join our Release Management Team. You'll work closely with the Senior Technology Release Manager, ensuring the smooth execution of release management activities across our technology delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Release Management: Plan, schedule, and oversee the deployment of software releases, updates, and patches.
Framework Implementation: Execute and refine frameworks for Release Management and Transition to Support/Operational Readiness.
Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with technology releases.
Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear and continuous engagement with stakeholders to ensure awareness of release schedules and frameworks.
Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive release documentation, including release notes and deployment guides.
Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during the release process.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of released applications and systems, ensuring they meet the required standards.
Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?:
Technology Knowledge: 5-10+ years of experience in technical release train management and/or change management, with a background in Infrastructure Engineering.
Technical Systems Understanding: Strong knowledge of technical systems, particularly platforms.
Facilitation Skills: Ability to prepare and foster release and sprint vision, goals, and work pipelines, and facilitate meetings.
Release Calendar Management: Proficiency in building and communicating release calendars and iterative planning cycles, and synchronizing with other release train managers.
IT Service Management Tools: Experience with tools like ServiceNow is preferred.
Communication Skills: Excellent ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders and write clear documentation and reports.
Project Management: Strong skills in planning, organizing, and managing resources, capable of handling multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to enhance release management processes.
