We are seeking a skilled Applications Support Specialist to join our Technology Team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for our business applications, managing vendors, troubleshooting issues, documenting configurations and ensuring that our people have the resources they need to succeed. The role involves providing exceptional technical support by configuring systems, and diagnosing and resolving application-related issues while monitoring performance and implementing updates or patches to ensure optimal functionality. It The role also includes developing user documentation and training materials to enhance user understanding and application effectiveness. Collaboration with technology and development teams is essential to gather user requirements and suggest improvements, and it's critical that you're happy to receive and give training to keep the team's knowledge up to date. Additionally, the role requires participation in user acceptance testing (UAT) for new features and upgrades, as well as identifying trends in support requests to recommend process improvements.



What we are looking for in you:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in application support or a similar role.
  • Experience using and/or supporting Tourism and Ski applications
  • Experience managing and working with software vendors
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • NZ Drivers Licence
  • Familiarity with ITIL based ticketing and change management processes
  • A working knowledge of Azure based integration platforms is preferred as is experience with any of the following applications: Maximo, EcoPortal, RTP, Aspenware, Lightspeed, Fareharbor, Salesforce, Coupa and Navision
  • Strong self management skills and ability to work collaboratively virtually

There may be some weekend work required, especially in the ski season.
