About the role

Bayleys Building Consultancy is seeking a talented Chartered Building Surveyor to join our team in the Auckland CBD. This full-time role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to make a significant impact within our growing organisation.

What you'll be doing

  • Conducting detailed building surveys and inspections to assess the condition and performance of commercial property
  • Providing expert advice and recommendations to clients on maintenance, refurbishment, and compliance requirements
  • Preparing comprehensive technical reports including; Technical Due Diligence, Make Good Assessmesnts and Building Condition Assessmsnts together with capex budgets.
  • Collaborating with the wider Bayleys team, clients, engineers, and other construction professionals to deliver effective solutions
  • Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with relevant building regulations and industry standards
  • Actively contributing to the continuous improvement of the company's building surveying practices and processes


What we're looking for

  • Chartered membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or equivalent professional body
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a building surveyor, preferably in the commercial and residential sectors
  • Strong technical knowledge of building construction, materials, and defects
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills
  • Proficiency in using surveying equipment and software
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying up-to-date with industry trends
