Job Description

Join our team as a Registered Teacher and be part of a centre that values connection, care, and a love for learning! As a teacher with us, you will play a key role in fostering a love for learning, helping tamariki grow in confidence, and creating a supportive environment where they thrive.

This is a full time role offering 30 hours a week from Monday – Friday.

About us

Busy Bees Kawatiri is an early learning centre in Westport with a big heart and relationships at the forefront of everything we do. We value teachers, children, families and our community as we know everyone's input is so important to ensure we provide holistic learning for our children. Inspired by the winding path of the Kawatiri River, we believe in fostering a lifelong love for learning.

What we’re looking for:

  • An ECE or Primary teacher qualification and registration as an ECE teacher in New Zealand
  • Genuine care and love for the well-being and development of tamariki
  • A personality that fosters and develops strong relationships with staff and parents/whānau
  • Abundant reserves of enthusiasm and energy
  • Competency in planning, curriculum, and regular and emergent reviews
  • The ability to build and maintain responsive relationships with children and their whānau
  • A creative mind capable of inspiring and igniting curiosity!
