About the Role On behalf of our client, we are on the hunt for a Service Manager to effectively manage a team of Techs ensuring objectives and projects are being efficiently completed. This role offers variety and opportunity to move across different duties and departments if wanted.
Schedule, direct and provide technical support for HVAC technicians to meet service demands and customers’ expectations
Review technicians’ work to ensure quality meets established standards, techniques and safety requirements
Maintain a regular training program to ensure the technicians are properly trained on latest service techniques and safety procedures for equipment and general working conditions
Develop and monitor budgets, goals, and objectives to insure departmental profitability
Reviews work orders, invoices, and time reports for accuracy
Generate sales leads; promote and develop maintenance/service agreements
Manage larger installation, start-up, and commissioning projects
Work with other departmental managers to meet company goals and objectives
About You You will have previous service experience, a comprehensive knowledge of the HVAC Industry, management experience and a strong skill set in building rapport with staff and customers.
Experience in servicing major air conditioning and mechanical services plant and equipment.
Strong written and verbal communication.
Be mechanical minded, self-motivated and demonstrate creative problem-solving skills.
A positive "can do attitude" with a bright and energetic personality
Ability to coach, mentor and develop service technicians
Be acting as a Service Manager or similar in your most recent role.
