Corporate Agribusiness Manager
Christchurch or Ashburton
Full time, Permanent position

Mō te tūranga | About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Corporate, Agribusiness, you will manage a portfolio of corporate agribusiness clients throughout the Canterbury region. Collaborating closely with your Agri analysts and product partners, you will develop and implement innovative strategies and financial solutions to add significant value and establish yourself as a trusted advisor. Your role will involve nurturing both new and existing relationships with key customers, offering expert lending advice and financial solutions, driving operational efficiencies, and enhancing customer engagement and coverage.

Your proactive work ethic will ensure you are able to build better solutions for our Agribusiness customers. You will have a passion for the agribusiness industry, be tertiary qualified with either an Agribusiness, Business or Finance discipline and have relevant banking/lending, business or farming experience.

In addition, you will have:

  • Experience within the banking/financial services or farm consultancy industry.
  • Comprehensive understanding of business/commercial, farm management practices and challenges likely to be faced by medium to large Agribusiness customers.
  • Agribusiness industry expertise and established networks across the region.
  • History of delighting customers in a service capacity.
  • Ability to recognise areas of opportunity, to adapt and innovate and to drive productivity.
  • Agribusiness lending experience and credit risk knowledge will be advantageous.
  • Accountability for risk and compliance including endorsing a risk identification culture as well as managing risks.
