Job Description

We're looking for a senior-level Performance Marketer to take ownership of our paid digital marketing strategy across Barkers & Max. This person will be responsible for trading, reporting, and optimizing paid performance channels, with a strong focus on Google Ads, and supporting roles with Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and emerging platforms like TikTok etc. Likewise, this role will work closely with marketing/e-commerce teams to direct our SEO and content efforts to support our paid performance

We have an established presence in NZ and want someone to help drive performance growth. We're also expanding into Australia, and this role will be critical in launching and scaling our digital-first strategy in the AU market, ensuring brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue growth across paid channels.

You will work closely with the Website Team to align campaigns with key trading moments, collaborate with Marketing Managers on content execution, and play a key role in growing our loyalty program, email, and SMS performance.

This is an opportunity for a data-driven, high-performing digital marketer to establish a strong performance marketing framework and scale customer acquisition and retention for two of New Zealand’s leading fashion brands.

Who You Are:

  • A senior-level performance marketer with 5+ years of experience in managing paid digital media.
  • Highly analytical with deep expertise in SEO, ROAS, CPA, and conversion rate optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Ads, GA4, Shopify, Magento, Klaviyo, Meta etc.
  • Proven ability to scale performance marketing budgets and drive efficiency.
  • Strong collaborator, working closely with marketing, creative, website teams and agencies.
  • Experienced in new market entry, preferably with experience in Australian eCommerce a big plus.
  • Passionate about fashion, retail, digital marketing and eCommerce growth.
