We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Rotorua.
The role is a full-time permanent position from Monday to Friday. However, we are open to designing hours around your requirements. This role offers an exciting opportunity for professional growth in a collaborative and supportive environment.
You will work closely with the Costings Team to prepare quotes, liaise with contractors, manage invoicing and stock input, and assist with ordering joinery and sundry pricing. You will also help maintain price lists, update procedural manuals, and support the internal sales team with build quantity listings for their projects.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the building and construction industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well with others.
Core Responsibilities:
You will be preparing Lockwood component quotes for the Domestic Lockwood Contractor Network and Export Contractor Inquiries as required
Liaising with contractors to solve any price queries
Providing full build quantity listings for Internal Sales Projects
Monitoring material increases and Maintain Price Lists for Manufactured Unit Rates
Carrying out other duties that may come up from time to time
The ideal candidate will:
Have experience in Building knowledge, can read and understand architectural plans, structural engineering, complex detailing and unique building construction
Be a quick learner, eager to expand knowledge, and capable of grasping and understanding a diverse range information.
Maintain a high, professional level of quality, accuracy, and performance of all work carried out.
Show initiative
Be methodical in their workmanship
Be friendly and approachable

Have confidence and the ability to build rapport with contractors, suppliers and business partners
