About the Role: As the Area Manager for central and west Auckland, you’ll lead and manage the Grey Lynn and Henderson branches. In this hands-on role, you’re not just a manager — you’re a leader who gets involved in every aspect of operations, from customer service to fleet management, training, and process improvement. With a focus on driving best practice, boosting sales, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences, you’ll play a pivotal role in the company’s journey towards operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Development:
- Motivate, train, and coach branch staff to achieve individual and business targets.
- Conduct performance reviews during the 90-day probation period and annually, and implement robust performance processes.
Operational Management:
- Oversee day-to-day branch operations including fleet management, maintenance bookings, compliance, and administrative tasks (e.g., RCM payments, daily reconciliations, payroll).
- Ensure processes are streamlined to maximise efficiency and accuracy.
Customer & Business Growth:
- Drive exceptional customer service and proactively develop new business opportunities.
- Address customer issues swiftly and effectively, ensuring clients leave confident and satisfied.
Continuous Improvement & Compliance:
- Identify operational challenges, propose corrective actions, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Champion Health & Safety protocols and ensure all statutory and H&S requirements are met.
Hands-On Leadership:
- Be available on-call to resolve branch issues, manage team rosters, and adapt to peak days.
