Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity
As the Capability & Opportunities Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing tendering, asset management, quality, and delivery activities across the region. Your focus will be on identifying and capitalizing on business opportunities, ensuring operational excellence, and leading strategic initiatives that drive innovation and improvement.
Working closely with the General Manager and Regional Managers, you will provide commercial leadership and support contract management teams to ensure high performance, capability development, and strong strategic alignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Contribute to business strategy development and lead initiatives to improve business performance.
- Business Development: Identify and evaluate new opportunities, lead bid strategy, and oversee the submission process.
- Capability Management: Assess and enhance skills, technologies, and resources within the team.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure quality, efficiency, and best-practice approaches in asset management and contract delivery.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior leaders, clients, and partners to align business capabilities with market demands.
- Team Development: Mentor and support regional contract management teams to foster high performance and continuous growth.
Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills
- Experience in business development, contract management, or commercial leadership within the infrastructure sector.
- Strong background in tendering, bid management, and strategic planning (10+ years of experience preferred).
- Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to influence, collaborate, and drive performance at all levels.
- A tertiary qualification in Business, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
