Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

Are you an administrator or receptionist looking for a fulfilling role where you make a difference every day?

Are you able to provide a professional service while under pressure? We are looking for someone to add to our existing team in the role of Reception Administrator, where you will add to our support services in the University Health and Counselling Support Services Team.

The purpose of this role is to provide a high standard of customer service in support of the reception and administration functions at UHCS, contributing to continuous improvement and ongoing UHCS development. You will be part of a close knit, friendly team, where your thoughts and ideas will be listened to.

This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week), permanent opportunity.
The salary range for this role is between $50,700- $61,700 based on skills and experience per annum depending on experience and qualifications.

The start date of the role is the end of February 2025.

Qualifications
He kōrero mōu | About you

Successful candidates must be dynamic, friendly and professional and be able to deal with clients face-to-face, over the phone and through email communications. Computer skills are a must and previous experience in a healthcare setting would be a significant advantage.

You will also be comfortable using patient management systems to manage appointments, create invoices and process enrolments and registrations, while also ensuring the smooth running of daily administration support enrolments and registrations.

Our ideal candidate will bring the following:

  • Experience in customer service, front desk, or administration role.
  • Experience of working in a health care setting such as a general practice
  • A calm, mature approach with a cheerful and compassionate nature
  • Methodical and organised with a proven flair for process and detail
  • A strong team player with outstanding communication skills
  • A current first aid certificate is preferred.
  • Experience working under pressure and fast-paced environment.
  • Computer literacy and have a good understanding of different computer applications i.e. MS Word, Excel etc.
  • Natural people-person - you will have the ability to communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Committed to continuous improvement - you will be able to deliver relevant and timely administrative and reception support to the clinical teams and reception coverage along with ensuring that customer service excellence goals are met.
