Job Description

Our client is currently seeking a Finance Administrator to join their team and contribute to ensuring the smooth processing of financial transactions while supporting their ongoing commitment to excellence in customer service.

As a Finance Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments and receivables. You’ll play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of financial systems, managing transaction exceptions, and providing top-notch customer support.

Details of the role:

  • Starting ASAP for 6 months (possible further opportunities)
  • Monday to Friday – 40 hours per week.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Compliance: Perform quality control checks to mitigate fraud risks and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Customer Support: Provide guidance and training to customers on financial processes, resolving exceptions, and reinforcing Council policies.
  • Account Queries: Respond promptly and professionally to account-related queries, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
  • Support Process Improvements: Assist in the implementation of financial software enhancements and manage changes to financial regulations.
  • Cross-Department Support: Offer support and flexibility by cross-covering other functions within the Accounting Services Team as needed.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work well with different people.
  • Ability to work independently, make decisions based on policies, and take initiative.
  • Positive team player with a collaborative attitude.
  • Good at problem-solving, research, and learning new things.
  • Committed to providing excellent customer service and maintaining a strong reputation for the organization.
