Harbour Cancer & Wellness is looking for a Patient Financial Coordinator to join their Finance Team.
Working closely with the finance and clinical teams, this role consults with patients and insurance providers to ensure the seamless, timely and considerate coordination and administration of patient fee estimates. Patients should feel that they have been acknowledged in a friendly, courteous manner and that all that can be done for them has been done.
This is a permanent, part-time role, 5 days a week (1 day working from home), where excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and an empathetic approach are key.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in healthcare/oncology or a similar role
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to streamline and document financial administration processes
- Ability to build sound relationships with key stakeholders including patients and their support people, insurers, and our clinical, finance and administration teams
- Accounts administration experience to provide leave cover for finance team, including accounts payable/receivable, and bank transactions
- Experience with process and business improvements and the ability to contribute constructively to project groups
- Ability to communicate financial information effectively
- Proficiency in Xero, Excel, Word, Teams and Outlook.
