Our Kauri site was established in 1989 and is Fonterra’s northernmost site. The site produces a range of milk powders, butters, AMF and a range of specialty products. Kauri’s Skim Milk Powder evaporator remains the largest single stage evaporator in NZ and is also home to the only Milkfat Fractionation Plant in the Country!
About the opportunity | Te whai waahi
We have an opportunity to join our Kauri Cream dept initially starting in the in process laboratory, working with modern equipment and a great team, you will prepare and test samples from our production line and enter the test results into our system. This role is all about attention to detail, working with data to ensure your products are of the highest possible quality.
This is a shift working position 2 days, 2 nights and 4 days off.
Other key responsibilities will include:
- Data Entry and use of our computer systems.
- Applying problem solving methods and systems.
- Routine testing.
- Accurate analysis of in-process results.
- Liasing with production staff and other Fonterra Laboratories.
About you | Moe koe
You will have a high level of accuracy, and be rigid in following processes and procedures and able to use your initiative. We are looking for a passionate individual who has:
- Experience in data entry and customer service.
- An interest in science or a diploma in food or laboratory science.
- Strong computer literacy, communication and interpersonal skills.
- A desire to learn, and for product quality and health and safety.
- A proven Team Player
We will provide on-going training and development, and you bring your motivation and willingness to learn.
