We're now looking for three exceptional Duty Managers to join our team at Auckland International Airport. This is a Permanent Full time position rostered across 7 days of the week.

We're looking for a true food enthusiast! You should have a deep passion for all things culinary, whether it's the look, taste, or presentation. We need someone with a keen eye for detail and creativity, ready to enhance our offerings and bring flair to every dish.

Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:

  • Supervising and participating in a team that "surprises and delights" our valued clientele while providing warm and professional customer service,
  • Maintaining the operational upkeep of the lounge and having superior customer service at the forefront of everything the position does.
  • Support and engage with team members during service to promote a collaborative and high performing environment.
  • Assist the Lounge Manager with rostering and schedule management as needed
  • Attend and participate in training sessions and team meetings as directed.
  • Assist in the training of other team members
  • Maintain responsible hosting standards at all times. Ensure all staff are regularly trained on standards, with frequent refreshers to keep everyone up to date with the latest protocols and updates.
  • The Duty Manager must ensure that all tasks associated with food service, beverage services and general customer service are performed with due regard for all Health and Safety and Food Safety regulations as required.
  • Adhere to health, safety and security procedures

  • Ensure a proactive, resourceful and can do attitude is used at all times when supervising the lounge operations
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with a positive attitude.
  • 5 Star Hotel, Hospitality, Airline Background needed.
  • Have a Tourism/Hospitality Qualification.
  • Display a "duty of care' for yourself and other employees in providing a safe working environment
  • Having the General Managers Certificate (Liquor Service) & NZQA Food Handling Certificate (Units 167 & 168) are preferable
  • Previous experience in a similar role is a MUST
