Job Description

King of snake is looking to grow our already excellent and well-established kitchen team.

You will be part of a team of exceptional talent and help deliver delicious contemporary food. Our company is well known within the industry, not only for its excellent restaurants and bars, but also for its team culture and the values that drive it.

Our company looks to identify talent and promotes personal and professional growth. We offer a positive, professional, rewarding, and fun environment and are looking for the right person to be part of our kitchen team in delivering the excellent standards of cuisine we are famous for.

The position is part time, usual hours will be Saturday, Sunday day shift & Monday evenings. A little bit of flexibility would be fantastic.

As kitchen hand you will be responsible for:

  1. Clean all dishes, cutlery, pots, pans and equipment
  2. Prepare food for cooking as directed by the chef in charge
  3. Keep all work areas, cool room, storeroom and rear areas clean, swept, hosed and tidy
  4. Control the use of chemicals in the kitchen
  5. Receive and sort supplies and deliveries
  6. Follow proper hygienic food handling practices
  7. Organise the disposal of rubbish
  8. Organise the sorting of recycling materials
  9. Work safely and support others to work safely
  10. Maintain the kitchen equipment and plant in good condition
  11. Support good communication within the kitchen and with the floor staff
  12. Carry out any other duties as advised from time to time


Suitable applicants will have the following skills:

  • Willing to work irregular hours according to the needs of the food service operation
  • Able to work in a team
  • Efficient worker who uses initiative
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Kitchen and FOH staff
