He angitūtanga / The opportunity:

Join our dynamic team at the Air New Zealand Lounge in Nelson as a Catering Assistant. This is a Casual Position, hours of work are on "as an when required" basis upon business needs. In this role, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality food and beverage service, ensuring our customers have a memorable and relaxing experience.

Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:

  • Provide proactive and friendly food and beverage service to customers.
  • Set up, clean, and maintain lounge areas, ensuring a welcoming environment.
  • Prepare and serve beverages, including espresso coffee, responsibly.
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items, adhering to food safety standards.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and customers to ensure a high level of service.


He kōrero mōu / About you:

  • Experience in a similar role with good communication skills.
  • Flexible approach and attitude, being a good team player.
  • Physically fit and reliable with a valid Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Previous experience in a catering environment and NZQA Food Handling Certificate (Units 167 & 168) are desirable.
