About the Role:

We are seeking an outstanding, organised and friendly Centre Administrator to join our friendly and welcoming team. This administration role is key to the success of our centre to enable us to provide the best quality care and education to our children and ensure we meet our requirements under the Ministry of Education regulations.

As a Centre Administrator, you'll play an important part within our team, and you will enjoy a varied role as no two days will ever be the same. You will provide outstanding customer service for our Whanau and have a variety of tasks from data entry, managing bookings, answering parent queries to supporting enquiring families. You will have responsibility for accurate parent accounts, direct debits, account management and payments along with daily, weekly, and termly deadlines that need to be met, so attention to detail and strong organisational skills are important. Being IT savvy and having knowledge of Word and Excel will make this role easier and from time to time you will get the opportunity to work with the tamariki/children.

We have a National Admin Support team, who operate a helpdesk to ensure Centre Administrators receive support on an ongoing basis. BestStart has very good procedures, training, and support around Ministry of Education requirements, and this will form part of your induction training.

  • Good general knowledge of accounts processes and customer account query resolution
  • A fast and efficient learner who is highly organised and meticulous with details
  • Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Fantastic customer service skills with a willingness to go the extra mile
