We are seeking experienced Anaesthetic Technicians to join our dedicated healthcare team in Aotearoa. While we welcome international applicants, priority will be given to New Zealand residents and citizens. Key Responsibilities:
Assist anaesthetists with the preparation and administration of anaesthesia for surgical procedures.
Maintain and troubleshoot anaesthetic equipment and supplies.
Ensure patient safety and comfort during surgical procedures.
Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to changes in their condition.
Collaborate with surgical teams to provide optimal care.
Requirements:
Education: A relevant Anaesthetic Technician qualification from a recognised institution. International applicants from the US, UK, South Africa, or Iran with comparable qualifications are welcome to apply.
US: Certification or training as an Anaesthesia Technician, recognized by the American Society of Anaesthesia Technologists and Technicians (ASATT).
UK: Training and certification in anaesthesia technology, typically certified by The Association of Anaesthetists of Great Britain & Ireland or equivalent.
South Africa: Qualification and registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as an Anaesthesia Technician.
Iran: Certification from the Medical Council of Iran or relevant Iranian professional body, subject to New Zealand’s equivalency assessment.
Registration: Must be eligible for registration with the New Zealand Medical Sciences Council or hold equivalent recognition to practice in New Zealand.
Experience: Previous experience as an Anaesthetic Technician in a hospital is a must
Skills: Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Work Authorisation: Applicants must be eligible to work in New Zealand. Sponsorship is not available at this time.

Proof of Qualification: Provide a copy of your educational certificate(s) and any certification relevant to your role as an Anaesthetic Technician.
Verification of Registration: If applying from outside New Zealand, please provide verification of your registration or certification with the relevant professional body (ASATT, The Association of Anaesthetists, HPCSA, or Iranian certification).
Work Authorisation: Candidates must submit evidence of eligibility to work in New Zealand (visa or work permit).
Professional References: Provide at least two professional references from your previous employers or supervisors in the healthcare sector.
Compliance Check: You will be required to undergo a compliance check, which includes a criminal history check and health screening as part of the recruitment process.
