Job Description

We're looking for passionate Customer Service Team Members to join our team at the Wellington Aquatic centre on a permanent part time basis.

Wellington Regional Aquatic Centre (WRAC) is a community treasure operating 7 days year-round providing outstanding sport and recreation programmes and contributes to the wellbeing of Wellington's communities. No two days at WRAC are the same. Every day we provide services, facilities and programmes essential to the health and wellbeing of our people and environment, while stepping up to the challenges and opportunities that come with being not only the Regions busiest aquatic facility but one of New Zealand's multi-sport aquatic facilities. The role of our Customer Service Team Members is to welcome all customers into the facility and provide a high standard of customer service and work as a team to support and maintain a safe an enjoyable environment for all. In this role you are responsible for all activities that happen at the front desk, and ensuring every customer feels welcomed, and supported during their time in the facility. You will also support customers in the retail store, as well as promote our services such as Club Active, and Swim Well etc. where appropriate.

To be suitable for this role you will:

  • Enjoy interacting with a diverse range of people and providing the highest standards of customer service.
  • Experienced in dealing with customer feedback and working through solutions.
  • Have great time management skills and be highly organised.
  • Be self-motivated and enjoy working with an energetic team who have a passion for sports, health and wellness.
  • Be an excellent communicator able to deliver clear and consistent messaging who is always willing to help.


We have the following packages available, as follows:

  • Package WCS1: Friday 5.45am to 2.15pm and Saturday 8.15am to 4.45pm
  • Package WCS2: Sunday 8.15am to 4.45pm and Monday 5.45am to 2.15pm
  • Package WCS3: Friday 5.45am to 2.15pm and Saturday 11.30am to 8pm
  • Package WCS4: Monday 5.45am to 2.15pm, Tuesday 5.45am to 2.15pm and Saturday 8am to 1.30pm
