Our client is looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Air Conditioning Technician to be part of their Wellington team. You will be responsible for installing, servicing and maintaining ventilation and air conditioning systems for commercial, residential and industrial clients, and diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
This is a call out position that comes with a company vehicle.
Key responsibilities include:
To have a high understanding of all safety protocols and regulations
To maintain accurate records of all duties performed
To install, maintain and repair air conditioning systems
To engage with clients to understand their needs and then provide solutions
To troubleshoot and diagnose issues with systems
To perform routine maintenance on systems
Assign and distribute work orders and work requests
Attend and participate in meetings regarding work to be done
To oversee others to ensure they are wearing the appropriate PPE and following all company safety regulations, policies and guidelines
Perform any and all duties which may be assigned
Implements changes, expansions and additions to Refrigeration & HVAC systems by identifying problems
Carries out preventive maintenance of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment and systems
Maintains work schedule for assigned area of responsibility
Inform supervisors of completed and outstanding work orders
Requirements to be considered are:
Fully qualified Air Conditioning Technician
Over 8 years worth of experience as an Air Conditioning Service Technician
EST full practising license
The ability to work flexible hours
To have a high level of communication and customer service skills
To have strong problem solving skills
To have the ability to read and understand technical manuals and schematics
To have strong knowledge of HVAC systems and refrigeration technology
To have a valid drivers license
To have the ability to work independently and for long hours with little supervision
To have the right to work in New Zealand
