We are looking for a trade qualified diesel technician who has specialised in heavy road transport as well as a Working Foreman to lead the team of diesel technicians within the workshop.


In return
You will work as part of a friendly team in a well-appointed workshop. The role is based in rural Waikato and is an excellent opportunity for relocation from the city. House prices in the area are still affordable and an excellent work life balance is on offer. An active social club adds to the fun for the close knit team.

Both roles are full time, offering at least 40 hours per week and rates ranging between $36 - $40 per hour for candidates that possesses the right level of skill.


About the location
The workshop is based in a community based town in rural Waikato whereby you can truly have your work life balance and have the ability to buy property at an affordable price.

On a weekend you will have lots of family fun activities to do and have the pleasure of no traffic during the week!


The role
You will be based in a family-owned general repair workshop that provides service to a large number of heavy road transport customers. The role will be very varied and includes servicing to truck and trailer units, diagnostics, and minor and major repairs including full rebuilds on engines, gearboxes and braking systems.

The workshop is an authorised Cummins dealer and you will also work on other brands including Kenworth, Volvo, Western Starr, Mack, DAF, Man and Freightliner.


Requirements

  • Trade qualified diesel technician
  • Experienced on heavy road transport vehicles
  • Is confident in diagnostic work
  • Good all round mechanic experience
  • A team player with a positive attitude
  • Has strong communication skills
