About the role and who we are looking for:

We are looking for an enthusiastic Permanent Part-Time Cook to work at Wairarapa Hospital, Masterton. Work a minimum of 18 hours per week.

You will be required to:

  • prepare bulk dishes for patient meals
  • prepare single special items
  • at times assist with ordering and stock rotation
  • comply with Food safety standards
  • have the ability to work to time frames
  • have a good understanding of food allergens
  • assist with general kitchen and cleaning duties.


Ideal skills and experience you will have:

If you're our ideal candidate you will be a team player, passionate about food and have excellent time management skills. You will have outstanding customer service and be flexible, with a friendly outgoing personality and a 'can do' attitude. Having the ability to work proactively both independently and as part of a team is essential. Ideally you will have previous experience working in a commercial kitchen environment.You will be a pro at Health & Safety but, most importantly you will demonstrate a passion for great food, customer service and quality.
