Our client is a respected, third-generation family business with over 90 years in the transport industry. They supply and distribute a range of materials and services and are now looking for an experienced Yard Manager to join their team.
We're seeking someone with a strong transport background who understands the daily demands of yard operations. This is a hands-on role, so physical fitness and a willingness to assist with labouring duties are essential.
Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 7.00am-5.00pm (start/finish times may vary)
Pay Rate: $30.00p/h
Daily duties will include:
Operating a 3-tonne diesel forklift
Loading and unloading trucks
Organising linehaul truck schedules and distribution
Some heavy lifting - up to 25kg
Computer data entry
General warehouse labouring duties as required
Applicants need:
Full class 1 driver's licence with F endorsement
Current forklift OSH certificate
Own reliable transport
Proven experience within the transport industry
