Ko tō tūranga – your role
As a Billing Assurance Analyst with One New Zealand your focus is ensuring the completeness and accuracy of customer invoices and associated revenue.
Collaborating closely with the provisioning, billing, and finance teams, you will refine processes to achieve precision and completeness in all invoicing activities. Your expertise will also be instrumental in supporting Technology and Business Projects, where you'll champion best practices in Billing System and Process Design.
Ko tō mahi – what you’ll do
- Build a strong understanding of the One NZ Billing and Revenue systems and processes.
- Act proactively and review changes to ensure billing best practice process and procedures are adopted by the business.
- Work with business as Billing subject matter expert to bridge the gap between business understanding and technical solution build.
- Ensure that all billing function changes are implemented correctly and transitioned to business as usual smoothly with minimal customer impact.
- Ensure accuracy through controls in the end-to-end process, from provisioning through to bill presentment and write-off, on all new and existing product flows.
- Monitor, report and close data variances by engaging with business owners to realign the invoiced products and services to the prevailing product terms and condition or contractual agreements.
- Liaise with technical and business teams and external vendors to coordinate design of billing outputs ensuring customer, financial and regulatory needs are met.
- Be the SME for My Business and lead the customer adoption of this reporting portal, to allow for customer cost accounting and on-billing if needed.
Na tōu rourou - what you’ll bring
- Good analytical skills with basic to intermediate expertise using query and analysis tools (e.g. SQL, Excel, PowerBI).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with an ability to influence across multiple business function at all levels.
- Ideally proven experience in billing assurance or revenue assurance within a complex organization.
- Commercial awareness and an ability to master understanding of complex systems and business processes.
- The ability to work to deadlines and multitask
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent commercial experience, in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
