Mechanic
Tradestaff Christchurch is seeking a skilled Mechanic to maintain our fleet, ensuring vehicles meet company and manufacturer standards. The role includes repairs, maintenance, diagnostics, and inventory management. You’ll also provide breakdown assistance and more!
About The Role
- Service and maintain fleet vehicles (cars, trucks) as per manufacturer specifications.
- Perform minor repairs, preventative maintenance, and diagnostics.
- Monitor inventory and assist with parts ordering.
- Complete repair orders and maintain accurate job records.
- Provide breakdown assistance and prepare vehicles for handback and sales.
- Test workshop equipment for safety.
- Ensure compliance with safety policies and regulations.
What You'll Bring
- Trade qualification in Motor Mechanics (Level 4 minimum).
- Experience with both petrol and diesel engines.
- Full driver's license (manual vehicles required).
- Strong problem-solving and multitasking skills.
- Good communication skills (written and verbal).
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
- The ability to pass a drug and alcohol test
