Our client:
- Join a friendly School Property team as a Caretaker and also work with others in maintenance and property
- Enjoy keeping school grounds clean, secure, with parking managed and overall operations running well
- Report to Property Manager, work with Assistant Caretaker and others within a culture of service and giving to others
Duties:
- Repair and maintain School equipment and relevant property (buildings & houses - facilities/furniture)
- Tasks include basic carpentry, painting and general handyperson work
- First diagnosis, then supervision duties relating to outside Contractors (Trades)
- Swimming pool maintenance/buying chemicals (can learn)
- Security and access (eg locking buildings at end of day)
- Key control (liaise with HR)
- Oversee outside cleaning company
- Car parking (control, investigate complaints etc)
- Assist in set up of Functions
- General rubbish, food supplies/mail distribution
- Health & Safety
You:
- Will have some relevant handy person/property maintenance experience (commercial or contracting) or a trades background
- Will be a natural 'fix-it' person
- Be self-motivated, fit, friendly and able to work in a really great team culture
- Have a current full NZ Drivers Licence
- Be physically fit
Offer:
- Excellent remuneration (neg up to almost $64,000 per annum, ie to $30.50/hour)
- 7am to 3.30pm
- Monday to Friday (time in lieu given when odd Saturday hours required, due to Rugby home games)
