About the role

We’re looking for a Cyber Security Consultant to join a cutting-edge programme that spans Salesforce, APIs, and multi-cloud environments.
This role offers the opportunity to work across diverse technologies, influence secure-by-design practices, and make a meaningful impact by safeguarding systems that power critical projects.
This contracting opportunity starts either 13th or 20th January and runs until 30th April 2025.

What you will do

• Perform in-depth security assessments across APIs, applications, cloud systems, and compliance requirements to uncover vulnerabilities and recommend tailored solutions.
• Contribute to securing AWS and Azure services, such as S3, Lambda, EC2, and Azure AD, by enhancing configurations, implementing access controls, and addressing risks.
• Review code for API integrations and, where applicable, provide guidance on secure Salesforce customisations, improving overall secure coding practices.
• Write and refine security documentation, including risk assessments, compliance gap reports, and authorisation to operate (ATO) frameworks.
• Advocate for and integrate secure-by-design principles within agile workflows by participating in stand-ups, sprint planning, and release discussions.
• Act as a trusted advisor, translating technical risks into actionable guidance for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What you need?

• Hands-on experience with security assessments across APIs, applications, and cloud services, with knowledge of AWS (e.g., S3, Lambda, EC2) and Azure (e.g., Azure AD, Key Vault).
• Understanding of Salesforce security is a bonus but not essential; familiarity with secure application development and integration principles is more critical.
• Experience handling multiple security domains (e.g., cloud security, API security, compliance gap analysis) simultaneously.
• Skilled in writing and enhancing security documentation, including risk analyses and compliance report
• An adaptable problem-solver who thrives in fast-moving, multi-project environments.
• A collaborative communicator, capable of simplifying complex ideas for non-technical stakeholders while partnering with technical teams.
• Due to the nature of this position, we are only accepting applications from candidates who are based in New Zealand and existing visa. Wellington based candidates are preferred.
