About the Role

Milford’s Wealth Management team is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Operations Manager to help scale efficiently while maintaining the highest service standards. In this role, you’ll lead a large team across multiple locations, refine operational processes, and manage key third-party relationships. You’ll play a crucial part in ensuring that clients continue to receive outstanding service, while also driving improvements in efficiency and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Overall responsibility for the leadership and development of a team of Associates across multiple sites.
  • Operational Excellence: Design and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to maintain and improve operational efficiency.
  • Third-Party Management: Oversee the relationship with the custodian and ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Service Standards: Set and maintain high client service standards, ensuring a seamless and professional experience for Milford’s clients.
  • Risk & Compliance: Ensure all activities align with Milford’s regulatory obligations, including AML procedures, complaints management, and adherence to financial advice and investment management licences.
  • Systems & Technology: Support and test system integrations, CRM developments, and the Milford client portal to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Project Leadership: Drive key projects related to operational improvements, outsourcing, and the expansion of regional offices.


Key to Success in the Role

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • Strong leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and organise teams across multiple locations.
  • A proven track record in operations management in the wealth advisory sector.
  • Experience managing third-party providers and ensuring high service delivery standards.
  • A keen eye for process improvement and the ability to drive efficiency while maintaining compliance.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a high level of attention to detail.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, finance, or a related field.
