About the role

Our dedicated team at Coastal Villas, based in Paraparaumu is looking for a Gardener to join them in maintaining an attractive community environment for our residents. This might be an opportunity to get some solid experience on your CV with a well-recognised and respected employer or perhaps you're moving away from a hectic role and excited about the opportunity to work outside in a beautiful environment with great people.

This role requires a motivated and reliable person with a 'can-do, will-do' attitude, who can work well in a team as well as with minimal supervision. This is a job that requires someone who is strong, fit and who would enjoy doing a bit of everything, working predominantly in our beautiful established gardens. You will assist the gardening team with the gardening and general upkeep of the grounds.

We would encourage a candidate who possesses knowledge or has experience of, general gardening, spraying, weeding, and/or pruning, to apply. Enthusiastic and fit candidates with a great attitude are also encouraged to apply!

This position is working 40 hours per week Monday - Friday 8 - 4:30 pm (great hours!!)

Skills and experience required:

Previous experience working outdoors and any experience with gardening, school grounds caretaking, landscaping or amenity gardening would be ideal.
A clean driver's license would be preferrable.
You will appreciate how important this position is in delivering an outstanding service to our residents, so you will have empathy for the older person.
Excellent spoken English with the ability to communicate in a clear, considerate manner.
An industrious, diligent approach to ensuring that the job is done to the highest standards.
