About the Role | He kōrero whakamārama mō tēnei tūranga
As a Rehabilitation Coach, you will have a real passion and dedication to all aspects of service delivery and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with your client and their families. In this role you will work with a single 11-year-old client with physical disabilities and complex medical conditions, assisting Rehabilitation Professionals to support our client on their rehabilitation journey. We are looking for a Supportive and passionate Rehab Coach who will assist with school work, play activities, fine motor activities and Switch Skill Progression.
You will be able to work autonomously and work in with the school learning team and ACC TI team. The school programme includes Home Learning – maths, literacy, reading and games, Communication – AAC in use.
This role will be between Auckland and Waiheke.
This is a permanent, part-time role for 25 hours a week.

What you will bring | Ngā tohungatanga mō tēnei tūranga
To be successful in this role, we are looking for the following:
- OT, Physical therapy, exercise physiology or teaching qualification preferred or other relevant experience
- Experience working with clients in community-based assessment and rehabilitation settings
- The ability to work autonomously under the guidance of allied health clinician as part of a team
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Understanding of and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- Clean Full NZ Drivers Licence with access to a reliable vehicle
- Proficient computer and IT knowledge
- Experience working with disabilities is preferred but not essential
