Job Description:

Our client, based in the South Wairarapa, are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join the team. The ideal candidate will take pride in creating a clean and welcoming environment for our household. You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of all areas of the home, ensuring that everything is in good condition.

Responsibilities:

• Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing furniture.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including showers, toilets, sinks, and mirrors.
• Change linens, make beds, and organize bedrooms.
• Laundry: wash, fold, and iron clothing, linens, and towels as needed.
• Clean and maintain kitchen areas, including dishes, countertops, and appliances.
• Empty rubbish and recycling bins and ensure proper disposal.
• Assist with light meal preparation or kitchen assistance, as needed.
• Report any maintenance issues or repairs required.
• Follow all safety and sanitation protocols to ensure a healthy home environment.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a housekeeper or in a similar role is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for cleanliness.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude.
• Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
