We have partnered with Air New Zealand as one team to create an incomparable lounge experience that people value and remember and as such, we have an exciting opportunity for an amazing Permanent Full Time Chef to join our team Air NZ Auckland Airport Operations. This is a rare opportunity for a Chef to jump into a great team and work with them to continue building on the lounges current success to provide great service to the guests.

Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:

  • Prepare, cook, and present food, ensuring quality control and consumer satisfaction.
  • Assemble and prepare ingredients, including dairy, dry goods, fruit, vegetables, meat, seafood, and poultry.
  • Maintain kitchen supplies, receive deliveries, and ensure proper storage and rotation.
  • Clean and maintain kitchen premises, ensuring hygiene and safety standards are met.
  • Develop menus to meet special dietary and cultural needs, and assist with ordering and stock control.


He kōrero mōu / About you:

  • NZQA Level 4 Certificate in Cookery or equivalent.
  • Previous experience cooking in a similar environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive outlook and professional manner.
  • Team player with good communication skills and a flexible approach.
  • Physically fit, reliable, and able to pass police clearance.
