ABOUT THE ROLE:
This organisation is looking for an experienced Data Architect to lead the technical direction of its data and analytics initiatives. The role involves designing, deploying, and managing the overall data architecture, including data lakes, data warehouses, and data consumption layers.

ABOUT YOU:
We are seeking a pragmatic thinker with exceptional communication skills, a passion for emerging technologies, data architecture advancements and innovation. In addition you will need:
- 12 years of IT industry experience working on data engineering practices
- 8+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of data modeling, database design, and data warehousing
- Ability to analyse complex data challenges, propose solutions, and implement best practices
- Hands on experience with cloud platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, and Azure
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, Scala, or other programming languages for data processing
- Ability to integrate data from multiple sources, both structured and unstructured.
- Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and security best practices.
- Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Kafka)
