Job Description
We are seeking experienced and passionate Tikanga Lore Advisors.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Cultural Guidance.
2 Policy Development
3. Training and Education.
4. Consultation
5. Documentation and Reporting.
6. Advocacy Representation
Skills Required:
- Cultural Expertise: In-depth knowledge of tikanga Māori, including its historical, social, and spiritual dimensions.
- Demonstrated ability to apply this knowledge in practical and contemporary settings.
- Experience: Significant experience in a cultural advisory role, particularly within Māori or indigenous contexts.
- Experience with policy development and organizational consulting is highly desirable
- Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to articulate cultural concepts and practices clearly to diverse audiences, including non-Māori stakeholders.
- Skilled in both written and verbal communication
- Deep understanding of the cultural history of NZ.
- Te Reo Maori language is advantageous.
- Deep understanding of Maori history & Tikanga
