QB's Cheese Snacks, based in sunny Nelson, are crafting New Zealand's most beloved cheese snacks and creating joy with every bite. We are on the hunt for an Assistant Production Manager who wants to help us deliver our exceptional cheese snacks.

You'll be joining our production team as one of our leaders and capable of running our production line to deliver QB's delicious snacks.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the Production Manager to foster team engagement and maintain QB's values and culture.
• Ensuring our customers receive the high-quality cheese snacks they love through the consistent delivery of quality, food safety, and production targets.
• Maintaining accurate short-interval reporting on key performance indicators and problem-solving to address issues.
• Identifying and driving health and safety initiatives within the workplace.
• Leading training initiatives and driving continuous improvement of systems, processes, and procedures.

Ideally, you will have:

• A strong focus on high standards of health, safety, food safety and quality.
• Manufacturing experience and equipment troubleshooting ability.
• A proven track record of team leadership.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence with decision-making.
• A working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Docs.

Your usual hours will be Monday-Friday, with hours to be advised. but there will sometimes be a need for flexibility around shift work.
