Mō te tūranga - About the role
As a Senior Manager leading our Otago Agri team, you’ll join the Provincial Southern leadership team and play a key role in supporting and enhancing the financial wellbeing across a range of farming customers. This role is responsible for providing strategic leadership and coaching to a team of Relationship Managers and Relationship Associates to build and strengthen ANZ’s market presence across the region.

As a Senior Manager, you will:

Provide leadership, mentorship and coaching to a team of Relationship Managers and Associates, primarily across the Agri segment
Be a critical member of the Business & Agri leadership team and leverage your strong banking background to support the delivery of our regional strategy
Promote and lead ANZ in the local and regional marketplace via events, community initiatives and customer interactions
Champion the use of data and insights to build knowledge and capability and enable better customer outcomes
Embed a strong conduct and risk culture across the business
Build a framework for consistent approaches to areas in staff training, operating models, management of credit and adoption of change
Continuously look to build new relationships aligned to business strategy and ensure existing customer needs are understood and met

Ōu Pūkenga? - What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

A successful track record in customer relationship management, risk management and an ability to influence outcomes
Deep understanding and knowledge of the Agri sector, including ability to build market presence and win in the market
Track record of growing market share
Strong commercial acumen, and experience managing and workshopping complex deals
Well-developed leadership ability, with proven experience in achieving results through collaboration
Proven experience in providing direction, training, development, coaching, motivation to a team of talented individuals
An ability to problem solve in a complex environment while managing ambiguity and conflicting demands
Exceptional stakeholder management experience and an ability to engage and influence at senior levels
Sound understanding using technology to take a structured approach in setting up systems and processes to effectively manage and monitor against metrics
